New CAESY Cloud Player
At the end of this month, we will be migrating to an
exciting new video platform! Due to this, Internet Explorer will no longer be a
supported browser for CAESY Cloud. Here’s everything you need to know!
Instead of using Internet Explorer, please use the following
supported browsers instead:
- Google Chrome (recommended)
- Mozilla Firefox (Windows)
- Apple Safari (Mac)
- Microsoft Edge (Windows)
The following changes will result from using the new player:
- Performance Improvements
- Closed captioning (ability to change color selection and font type)
- Higher definition
Some tips on using the new CAESY Cloud player:
- To view the presentation name, hover over the video and the name will display in the top left corner of the video.
- Double click on the player to toggle in and out of full-screen mode, in addition to being able to use the full-screen button.
- If the playlist is not looped, use the replay button in the player controls to restart the playlist.
- When you hover over the video’s timeline, the time stamp for the mouse’s location will display allowing you to easily skip in the video.
Thank you for your continued use of our CAESY
Cloud software!

Windows 7 Support End Date
On January 14, 2020, Windows 7 and Server 2008 will go into an End of Life (EOL) status from Microsoft. This means that all official support and updates from Microsoft will cease and systems with these operating systems (OS) will be at risk. Windows 7 was released in 2009 and Server 2008 in 2008, which will make these 11 and 12 year old OS’s by the time they are retired.
What does this mean for you and your practice?
1. New Eaglesoft versions will no longer be tested with these older versions of Microsoft Server and Windows. Therefore, Eaglesoft 21.10 will be the last supported version on these older operating systems. Please ensure that you are on a supported version of both Server & Workstation Operating Systems as well as Office Suite before upgrading to a new version of Eaglesoft.
2. Anyone still on Windows 7 or Server 2008 after January of 2020 will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft. This means any security exploits found for Windows 7 or Server 2008 will not be patched by Microsoft. Unsupported and unpatched environments are vulnerable to security risks.
What can be done to make sure my computers are protected?
If you are currently on Windows 7 and/or Sever 2008, you should upgrade to Microsoft’s latest Operating Systems, which are Windows 10 Professional and Server 2016. With that said, it is not as simple as just installing a new OS on an older system. Before upgrading, you should check to ensure your computers meet the Windows 10 Professional and Server 2016 hardware requirements. Please note: you may also be required to upgrade Eaglesoft as only Eaglesoft v18.0 or higher is Windows 10 Professional compatible.
How can I verify what OS is running on my machines?
From the Start Menu, simply right mouse click on "My Computer" and select “Properties”. If you are in need of upgrading your computers, please reference our latest hardware requirements for a list of supported systems. We recommend you contact your local IT company for assistance upgrading your machines.
What if I do not have a Local IT Company?
Patterson has partnered with several specialized Healthcare IT companies all over the United States. These companies can help you determine if you need new hardware to run Windows 10. If you do not have a local IT company, you can reference our Preferred Hardware Provider listing at https://www.pattersondental.com/Services/Preferred-Hardware-Provider/List or contact your local Patterson Branch for information on their Preferred Hardware Partner.
