Schick Sensors with IOSS after Windows Updates

On October 14, 2025, Microsoft released Windows updates which impacted customers using Schick Sensors with IOSS drivers on Eaglesoft 24.20. As a result, image capture functionally may stop working. If you're experiencing this issue, here's what you need to know: 

  • Dentsply Sirona has published a Technical Bulletin with detailed instructions to resolve the problem. View Technical Bulletin here to download the instructions.
  • Work with your IT Provider to complete the steps outlined in FAQ 44883 to restore image capture functionality.

Windows 10 Support Ends Soon – What Your Practice Needs to Know

Microsoft will officially end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. After this date, computers running Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates or technical support.

  • Security Risks: Unsupported systems are more vulnerable to cyber threats and may not meet HIPAA requirements.
  • Eaglesoft Compatibility: While Eaglesoft version 23 and above are compatible with Windows 11, we strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version of Eaglesoft to ensure optimal security and performance.  

What can I do to make sure my computers are protected?


1. Check your operating system
  • Open Settings and search for Control Panel
  • Select System
  • Look under Edition to see if you're running Windows 11
2. Upgrade to Windows 11 Professional

3. Upgrade Eaglesoft if applicable
