New Pearl Enhancement in Eaglesoft Advanced Imaging: Enhanced Pediatric Model

On November 4, 2025, a new enhancement from Pearl was made available in Eaglesoft Advanced Imaging for all Pearl customers. This update introduces an enhanced pediatric model, designed to make reviewing children’s x-rays easier and more accurate than ever. With this improvement, dentists can now evaluate pediatric images with greater clarity and confidence, ensuring better diagnostics and patient care.

What’s new in the enhanced pediatric model in Eaglesoft Advanced Imaging:

  • Smarter detection logic: When a pediatric patient is detected (based on age <12 or mixed dentition), Second Opinion automatically applies a pediatric-specific model.
  • Simplified findings: The system now focuses only on caries, filtering out adult-only findings like bone measurements, calculus, or periapical radiolucencies.

  • Updated tooth parts: For pediatric x-rays, only the enamel and dentin are highlighted. This makes it easier to see which cavities can be monitored (incipient) and which require treatment (progressed).

10/15/2025 Release Notes

Unified Practice Settings and Profile Menu

  • Practice settings are now consolidated into a single location, simplifying management and administration.

  • The profile drop-down menu across features has been standardized, enhancing consistency and reducing user confusion.

Eligibility and Claims Enhancements

  • Eligibility checks now validate insurance carriers by both ID and name, improving accuracy in displayed information.
  • Pre-determination claims are automatically combined into a single continued claim, streamlining submissions and reducing administrative overhead.

User Experience Improvements

The Essentials View has been replaced by the ClearCoverage View, offering a more detailed view to ensure practices have the most accurate and actionable eligibility information in a single view. If ClearCoverage is not enabled, users will now only see the Carrier Response tab.

Form Upload and Outstanding Accounts Updates 

Form image uploads now begin immediately upon attachment, reducing missing uploads on patient forms. The Outstanding Accounts interface has been streamlined for clarity, merging contact information and emphasizing requested amounts, delivering two key benefits:

  • Improved usability and visual clarity. The page now looks cleaner and is easier to navigate even when contact data is incomplete. 
  • Enhanced user confidence and engagement. Showing the total value of batch requests helps users recognize the financial importance of sending them which increases follow through and accelerates collections.

PMS Payment Plan Filtering

A new filter in the Outstanding Accounts tab allows billing specialists to exclude patients on PMS payment plans, facilitating more frequent payment requests and reducing manual verification efforts.

Seamless Perio Chart Attachments in Vyne Trellis

Perio Chart Integration is a new enhancement in Vyne Trellis that allows practices to seamlessly sync, view, and attach perio chart data directly from Eaglesoft. This feature is available to all Vyne Trellis customers with Vyne Sync enabled.

Users can now retrieve perio charts with a single click, preview them with patient and service details, and attach one or multiple charts directly to claims, eliminating the need for manual screenshots and streamlining the claims workflow.

How does it work?

  • During claim preparation, click the Perio Sync button to fetch available charts for a patient
  • Trellis displays perio charts with dates, identifiers, and thumbnails
  • Users can preview charts (with patient name and date of service) before attaching
  • The chart preview displays tooth numbers and quadrants, probing depths, recession and attachment loss indicators, bleeding points, as well as metadata such as patient name and date of service.
  • Single or multiple perio charts can be attached directly to a claim
  • Built-in error handling ensures clear messaging if retrieval fails



10/29/2025 Release Notes

Mark Patient Messages Unread

Users can now mark Patient Messages as Unread even after viewing them. This feature allows offices to prioritize important messages for follow-up actions.


Insurance Totals on Payment Report

  • A new summary section for insurance payments has been added to the PDF Payment Report.
  • This section includes total counts and dollar amounts for insurance payments, simplifying reconciliation for practices.


Practice Logo in Email Requests

  • The practice logo is now included in email payment requests, matching SMS requests for consistency.
  • This addition helps build patient trust and reduces the likelihood of phishing concerns.
